The Peoples Improv Theater is offering three different writing workshops from April 21-23, with instructor Chris Aurilio.
Writer's Room: Goals
April 21, 7 - 10 p.m.
You have ideas for sketches, characters, shows, movies, webseries and more. Have you written anything yet? Have you gotten the people together? We all get overwhelmed by the steps in the creative process, but this group discussion will help encourage you to make a plan for whatever it is you are working on. Using a roundtable writer's room set-up, this workshop will demystify and make real what it takes to get your work done. This class emphasizes collaboration and building your team that will help hold you accountable. We'll see to it you set goals to accomplish in one week, the next month, in a year and beyond! Goals! The first show of any night is the "early" show. All other shows are "late" shows. Early shows are seated by time of arrival. The earlier you get to the club, the better your seat will be. Late shows have assigned seating by time of ticket purchase. The earlier you buy tickets, the better your seats will be.
DOOR TIMES: Doors usually open at 6:30 for an early show. (When the early show is at 7, we open at 6.) Seating for late shows usually begins 30 minutes before showtime. If you purchased tickets to a late show and would like to be seated together with another party, call the Improv at 202-296-7008 and inform us ahead of time.
