Funniest College Variety Showcase

The DC Improv is searching for the funniest college student in the Washington D.C. and surrounding areas and will host showcases at several universities around town as part of our 10th Annual Funniest College Competition. On Wednesday, March 27, 2013 The DC Improv will be showcasing students from various universities that were unable to host the event on their campuses.

This show will feature college students/comedians performing 5 minutes of original stand-up material in front of an audience of their peers and a panel of expert judges. Two students will be selected as winners and will be invited to perform for the finals to be held at The DC Improv on April 11, 2013. At the finals, one student will be crowned the winner and is rewarded with a paid hosting gig at The DC Improv plus additional prizes. The prize for the University is a reputation for housing some of the funniest students in the area.

Seating Policies

The first show of any night is the "early" show. All other shows are "late" shows. Early shows are seated by time of arrival. The earlier you get to the club, the better your seat will be. Late shows have assigned seating by time of ticket purchase. The earlier you buy tickets, the better your seats will be.

DOOR TIMES: Doors usually open at 6:30 when the early show is at 8. (When the early show is at 7, we open at 6.) Seating for late shows usually begins 30 minutes before showtime. If you purchased tickets to a late show and would like to be seated together with another party, call the Improv at 202-296-7008 and inform us ahead of time.
